Outcomes of Media Complaints
A major component of our work involves holding the media to account for inaccurate reporting on Muslims and Islam.
We monitor and analyse articles and broadcast programmes to identify possible factual errors or prejudicial content. We then lodge complaints through the official complaints. So far we have been successful in gaining over 50 corrections.
Unfortunately on some occasions our complaints are partially corrected or not corrected at all. We therefore empower our communities to engage in advocating for change through constructive engagement with the media.
