On being named in Time magazine’s 100 most influential peoples list, Liverpool and Egypt striker Mohammed Salah said, ” We need to change the way we treat women in our culture.” The Mail Online editorialised Salah’s words by headlining their coverage with ‘Liverpool star Mohamed Salah calls on Muslim community’, despite the footballer not mentioning Muslims. After being notified of this by Cfmm, this was changed.
